About us

At the Center for Project Innovation, we train and certify great project managers so they can be the change we need to see in the world.

Like many of the great innovators who inspire us, we're quietly making a difference on every continent in the world, including Antarctica.

What we do

We train and certify individuals in project management careers.

We also work extensively with government, private and not-for-profit partners to create job-ready skills where they're needed, facilitate best practice in project leadership, and mentor professional project managers working on a fascinating array of projects.

Announcing the $1,000,000 CPI Career Certifications Fund

Each year, we're empowering 4,000 community champions with free project management certification and skills for life. Partner applications are now open.

US Department of Defense x Center for Project Innovation

In partnership with transition programs and the GI Bill, the Center for Project Innovation has helped more than 20,000 US Veterans transition to civilian careers with project management skillsets.

City of Sydney x Center for Project Innovation

The Center for Project Innovation helped the City of Sydney Project Management Office (PMO) upskill their project teams to meet the challenges of a rapidly growing city more efficiently and sustainably.

Australia Awards Papua New Guinea x Center for Project Innovation

Our story

Founded in 2007 as the Institute of Project Management, the Center for Project Innovation is proud of its well-earned reputation as the quiet professionals of the project management world.

Our purpose has always been to enable innovation within our community of clients, practitioners, and stakeholders.

Together, we’ve helped realize tens of thousands of projects worth hundreds of billions of dollars, experience we use to bring our training to life.

It incorporates the qualifications from each education and training sector into a single comprehensive national qualifications framework.

The Center for Project Innovation is internationally accredited by the US government and its treaty partners as the official certifying body for the following project management credentials:
